Welcome to 180 fm the rock, I’m Heather Nystrom (pronounced Knee-strom) and I’m the youth director at Forbush Friends Meeting. Our name “180 FM the Rock” reflects our desire to help youth turn their lives around and build upon the Rock that is Jesus.
We meet every Sunday from
4:30pm to 6:00pm and Wednesday 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Sunday’s are our wild times, with some fun ways to make the Bible relevant and grow in Christ. Wednesday’s are our times to dig a little deeper and to get know one another better (though we still have room for some zaniness!) Our youth ministry doesn’t all take place inside the church building. Our famous road trips are adventures in living the Christian life. In everything we do, our goal is to know Christ and serve him faithfully.
The youth group is for students 6th grade-12th grade. Discipleship is a major key in the youth group. The older students help the younger form their relationship with Christ, and get more familiar with the Bible.
The youth group would not happen without the many volunteers that help me out! I am always looking for more volunteers to help out during youth group. They pray for our students, are chaperones during our famous road trips, and bring snacks and help set up for youth group! If you’re interested in being a volunteer talk with me and we can make that happen!
